In the next couple posts, I’ll be checking in with a few ABDC alums to tell you where they are now, and the impact that dance has had on their life!
First up is Allison Bosse! Allison danced at ABDC for 4 years during high school, graduating ABDC class of 2012! She was Wendy in Ballet Performing Company’s production of Peter Pan her senior year, and was also a member of our competition team!
After graduating high school, Allison danced on her college dance team for 4 years. She currently dances and performs with DanceWorks Boston, a Boston-based dance company.
What are some ways you think dance training carries over in other aspects of life?
Confidence is the biggest! Also improved my ability to take feedback and constructive criticism and apply it to be better. Friendships- dance has always pushed me outside my comfort zone when finding new ways to continue dancing and in doing so has introduced me to some of my closest friends- like ABDC alum Jen Conry!
What have been some of the biggest lessons or takeaways from your dance experience?
Find something you are passionate about and stick with it!
Funniest/most memorable dance experience?
Having to “battle” Jen in a dance before we were even friends!
